Claude Turmes steps down as EUFORES President, Jeppe Kofod nominated Acting President

On the 20th June 2018, Claude Turmes, MEP from Luxembourg from the Greens and President of EUFORES, was nominated State Secretary for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure of the Government of Luxembourg, just after stepping down as MEP and as EUFORES President. 

Claude Turmes had been member of the EUFORES Board since 1999 and President of EUFORES since 2009. The Board of EUFORES has unanimously decided on the 19th June 2018, that MEP Jeppe Kofod steps in as Acting President of EUFORES in order to manage the coming months and the transition into the new European Parliament with a new setup of EUFORES as parliamentary network. MEP Theresa Griffin, will continue as Vice-President of EUFORES, working in close cooperation with the Acting President and the Secretariat of EUFORES.
