Emma Wiesner appointed as new EUFORES Vice-President, Katalin Cseh steps down

Category: news, press release

Emma Wiesner, MEP, Renew Europe Group, Sweden, has been appointed as EUFORES Vice-President by the EUFORES Board on 23 June 2021. Katalin Cseh, MEP, Renew Europe Group, Hungary, has prior stepped down as EUFORES Vice-President.

Emma started her political career as a 13 year old, after having seen Al Gore's film An Inconvenient Truth. She is an energy systems engineer by education. On 11 December 2020, it was announced that she was going to replace Fredrick Federley in the European Parliament, after his resignation the same day. Emma is a full member of the ENVI Committee in the European Parliament, and a substitute member in the ITRE Committee, amongst others.

We are honoured to welcome Emma in this important role, and delighted that Katalin will still be active within EUFORES as a new Member of the EUFORES Extended Board.
