EUFORES is governed by a Board of Presidents, who consists of prominent Members of the European Parliament. The daily operations and management of EUFORES are carried out by the Secretary-General and the Secretariat in Brussels.

Theresa Griffin

President in 2019. Vice-President since 2015. Theresa was a Labour Party Spokesperson for Industry, Research and Energy. Due to Brexit – Theresa had to step down as EUFORES President on 28 January 2020.
Jeppe Kofod
Outgoing President
Former MEP, S&D, Denmark
President in 2018. Vice-President since 2015. Jeppe Kofod became Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark in June 2019 and as consequence stepped down as EUFORES President on 1 July 2019.
Claude Turmes
Honorary President
Former MEP, Greens/EFA, Luxembourg
President of EUFORES from 2010 until 20 June 2018. From 2003-2010 he was Vice-President of EUFORES. He has been a Member of the European Parliament from 1999 to 20 June 2018.
Mechtild Rothe
Honorary President
Former MEP, S&D, Germany
She was a Member of the European Parliament from 1984-2009 in the PSE group and from Jan. 2007 until July 2009 Vice-President of the European Parliament.
