Dr. Jan Geiss is Secretary General of EUFORES since September 2008. He received his PhD in the field of “renewable energy contracting – systemic energy services” and did his university degree in International Business and Cultural Studies. 1999-2012, he was Chair of the Board of the Sustainable Development Forum e.V. Germany.

Sylvia Guarente,
Events, Communications & Outreach Manager
Sylvia Guarente holds a Master’s in Political Science from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and a Master’s in Criminal Law from La Sorbonne.
She has developed solid experience in interinstitutional cooperation through her experience at the Representation of the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies to the European Institutions, as well as in the coordination of large-scale events for the European Commission. She is fluent in English, French, Italian, Spanish, and Dutch.

Experienced project manager specializing in European policy, renewable energy initiatives, and international relations. Holds advanced degrees in International Law and Political Science, with a strong focus on EU institutions and sustainability strategies.
Skilled in managing EU-funded projects, organizing international conferences, and fostering collaborations with diverse stakeholders. Multilingual (Spanish, English, French) and passionate about promoting sustainable energy solutions across Europe.
Isabel Pardo, Design and Communication Expert
Isabel Pardo is a Creative designer and Communication expert at EUFORES, working with the team to drive engagement among the European Parliamentarian network working on sustainable energy issues. She combines innovative design with strategic communication to support EUFORES’ mission for a sustainable energy future.
Jean-Marc Willems, Accountant
Jean-Marc is a qualified accountant, starting his professional career in 1987 within the insurance sector before becoming fully qualified and joining the European Commission as a Finance Assistant. He has worked within a number of associations and has significant experience in managing finances and compliance within complex international projects.
