Claude Turmes, Vice-President of EUFORES, receives the European Solar Prize 2009 in the Category "Special achievement prize for outstanding individual commitment".
The prize is an appreciation of Claude Turmes dedication as Member of the European Parliament to tackle climate change, his support for renewable energy sources within various legislative pieces, as well as his fight for a liberalised energy market.
EUROSOLAR awards the European Solar Prizes for outstanding projects and individual achievements in making an exemplary contribution to the use of renewable energy.
