North Seas Countries Offshore Grid Initiative - Parliamentary Platform

Several years ago, ten European countries created the so-called "North Seas Countries Offshore Grid Initiative (NSCOGI)" - a governmental cooperation to develop offshore wind and power grid infrastructure in the North Seas.

During the 13th Inter-Parliamentary Meeting (IPM13) of EUFORES in Dublin, 21 June 2013, EUFORES initiated a new inter-parliamentary activity, the NSCOGI Parliamentary Platform, which intends to create political momentum and action in relation to the North Seas and the existing governmental activities.

A joint parliamentary declaration was tabled, which was sent to Ministers from the 10 NSCOGI countries as well as to all related EU Commissioners. Members of Parliament are welcome to join the declaration anytime by sending an email to us.

With this activity, we hope to add more energy and motivation to a fascinating joint European project: "The North Seas as the Future Energy Pool of Europe."
