NREAP-Author Workshops

REPAP2020: 1st Closed Workshop for National Renewable Energy Action Plan (NREAP) Authors

17th November 2009, 9:00-18:00, Flagey Convention Centre, Brussels

This event was upon invitation only!

EUFORES organised a workshop dedicated to the authors of the National Renewable Energy Action Plan (NREAPs). The workshop was part of the REPAP2020 project - a joint project of EUFORES and EREC (European Renewable Energy Council) - which aims at facilitating the implementation of the Renewable Energy Directive. 17 Member States were represented at the workshop.

At the moment, the REPAP2020 project intends to support the development of the NREAPs by offering experts' advice, guidelines brochures and a platform for discussion among the NREAP-Authors and surrounding experts from all EU27 Member States governments.

The coming months are crucial for such discussions, since EU Governments have to notify their NREAP to the European Commission by 30 June 2010.

EUFORES has just released the brochure with background information for the design phase of the NREAPs. Please download the English version here

This was the first out of four workshops intending to give the NREAP authors the opportunity for extensive discussion and exchange of best practices.

The session, which is strictly closed for the public, was held in relation to the EREC Policy Conference in Brussels and prior to the EUFORES 9th Inter-Parliamentary Meeting on 18th November 2009, in the Parliament of Belgium, Brussels.

Following the success of the first workshop, EUFORES is already planning the second one which most likely will take place early February 2010.

The participants will be kept posted on this matter directly through EUFORES.

REPAP2020: 2nd Closed Workshop for National Renewable Energy Action Plan (NREAP) Authors

EUFORES organised a second workshop dedicated to the authors of the National Renewable Energy Action Plan (NREAPs). The workshop was part of the REPAP2020 project as well, which aims at facilitating the implementation of the Renewable Energy Directive.

Like the first one, the second workshop was very successful and the discussions proved to be necessary and productive. 22 Member States were represented at the workshop.
