Category: news, press release

EUFORES organised on 4 November 2020, an online MEP-Academy with experts from the Energy Efficiency Watch project on "New Narratives to Drive Energy Efficiency in Member States: Insights from over 1,200 Experts”.

The event presented the first results of the Energy Efficiency Watch, which were based on a major survey undertaken in all EU27 Member States, with over 1,200 energy efficiency experts taking part in it. The survey provided insights into the narrative building exercise for national, regional, and local energy efficiency stakeholder and politicians.

Background information:

In view of the amendment of the Energy Efficiency Directive to implement the ambition of the new 2030 Climate Target and with the upcoming revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, stakeholders and experts across Europe are taking stock on how energy efficiency can be boosted locally and nationally. Do we need new narratives to drive energy efficiency in the EU Member States? Is the energy efficiency community talking to the right stakeholders at national level?
